Kaye Stevenson

Kaye is an actor, and when not working on the stage, or in radio TV, or filming, can be found in her study narrating books for QNS, reading for her own enjoyment, or attempting to tame her large garden at her home in Brookfield. After moving to Brisbane in 1964 from country Victoria, with her husband, John, who came here to help establish Channel 0 (now Channel 10) as the Chief Engineer, and their first son, Peter, she joined the Queensland Tape Service for the Handicapped in 1975, which subsequently became QNS. Since then she has seen many changes in both the city, and the production of books for the vision impaired.   She has found the move to recording on computer a great advance, both in the ease of editing, and the quality of the final product, compared with the use of cassettes, as was the case when she first started. Kaye has been a member of the Management Committee of QNS for many years and is the former President.
